FAQ

Before you book.

Do I need to give my info to see a price?

No. The phone pricing gives a real price from just your year, make, model and what you want done, with no name, phone or email required.

What is the difference between HP Black, PRIME XR and XR Plus?

HP Black is a strong performance starting point. PRIME XR Black is premium nano-ceramic with stronger heat rejection. XR Plus is the top tier for maximum heat rejection and cabin comfort in Arizona summers.

Does darker tint mean cooler?

Not necessarily. Heat rejection comes from the film technology, not just how dark it looks. A lighter ceramic can reject more heat than a darker dyed film. We will guide you to the right shade and tier.

What is the difference between ceramic and regular tint?

Regular dyed film mostly just darkens the glass and tends to fade. Nano-ceramic rejects far more infrared heat at the same shade, stays clear, will not block signal, and holds its color in the desert sun.

Is my tint legal in Arizona?

Arizona has rules for front side windows, windshields, reflectivity and colors. We discuss street-legal shades before installation so your vehicle stays compliant, and confirm on the actual vehicle.

Do you tint windshields?

Yes, either a visor strip up top or a full windshield, with a conversation about visibility and legal shade first.

What is windshield protection film?

A clear, sacrificial XPEL layer over the windshield that helps against rock chips and cracks, far cheaper than a windshield replacement. It is $289 flat.

How long does it take?

Most installs are same-day. We confirm timing and curing instructions before the windows roll down.

Do you remove old tint?

Yes. We remove bubbling, faded, purple or poorly installed film before new film goes on. One-door removal can be priced in the phone pricing; full-vehicle removals are quoted by phone.

Is the film under warranty?

We install genuine XPEL film, which carries XPEL manufacturer warranty coverage. Ask us for the specifics for the film you choose.

Is HP Tint an authorized XPEL dealer?

Yes. We are an authorized XPEL dealer, so every install uses genuine XPEL film backed by XPEL’s warranty — not a knock-off or re-branded product.

Will XPEL tint turn purple or bubble over time?

No. Cheap dyed film is what turns purple and bubbles in the Arizona sun. Genuine XPEL PRIME film is engineered to hold its color and is backed by XPEL’s warranty against fading and bubbling.

How much heat does ceramic tint actually block?

XPEL PRIME XR and XR Plus reject a high percentage of infrared heat — far more than standard dyed film at the same shade — so the cabin cools faster and stays cooler. We’ll show you the spec for each tier so you can compare before you choose.

When can I roll my windows down or wash the car after tinting?

Leave the windows up for about 3–5 days while the film cures, and avoid cleaning the inside of the glass during that time. Washing the outside is fine right away — you’ll get simple care instructions at pickup.

Do you tint Teslas, EVs and all makes?

Yes — we tint all makes and models, including Teslas and other EVs, from coupes and sedans to trucks, SUVs and minivans. Pick your exact vehicle in the phone pricing for a real price.
